I'm, curious -- what is a split sampler? Some of your others look like they might be the two halves of a stereograph.

This one, I think, is especially powerful for its depiction of time. You've addressed both the idea of "freezing" time and the idea of time captured in sequence. This composition, because of the dimensions, also looks like an open book, looking down at two full-bleed photos on consecutive pages (or looking at an oddly-distorted spine of a book with a wrap-around photo cover). The simultaneous slippages and the overlap make my eye want to stitch it together, but it cannot. I don't want to accept the disjunction, but I must. That is reality, in face of these themes, I suppose....

a split sampler is a small 35mm film camera that takes two simultaneous exposures in a single shot/frame . kinda like this camera [link] but this one takes four.
